Leader of Naga People’s Front (NPF) Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu has expressed shock and pain over the May 4th incident in Kangpokpi district in Manipur.

“… no normal human being could ever think of committing such a heinous crime” where women were used as “objects” in the violence and tortured mercilessly, Nienu stated.

He, on behalf of NPF, also called for Centre’s immediate intervention without delay to deliver justice to the victims. The party also appealed Centre “to immediately restore peace in the troubled Manipur State once and for all.”

Further, NPF acknowledged Supreme Court of India’s concern on Manipur and “asserting that it would intervene if the Government fails to take action”.
