Kohima: KVC Chairman challenges councillors to check trade license of outsiders

The Tsütuonuomia Khel Council, Kohima Village, organised a Felicitation Programme for the newly elected councillors of the Kohima Municipal Council from the Tsütuonuomia Khel on 24th July 2024 at Tsütuo Hall, Kohima.

Helievi-o Solo, Chairman, Kohima Village Council congratulated all the elected members and urged to work towards justice and truth. He encouraged the councillors to adhere to the Municipal Act and develop the basic necessities under Kohima Municipal Area 2023 irrespective of their party affiliations.

Solo also stressed on the inclusion of all the settlers under Kohima Municipal Area in the voter lists as “it is our right”. He challenged the councillors to check the trade license of outsiders and take necessary action against illegal trade within the Municipal Area.

The elected KMC councillors thanked Almighty God for their success in the recently concluded Urban Local Body elections. They also thanked the Tsütuonuomia Khel in encouraging and supporting them and appealed to continue supporting them in the coming days.

Kevinei-ü Sekhose, KMC Councillor, appealed the Tsütuonuomia Khel to continue to support her in developing her ward. Stressing on the enrolment of voters in the ward she encouraged all the town settlers to enrol in the next inclusion of voters.

Thejavizo Philip Solo, KMC Councillor, pledged to work towards justice and truth.

Medoviu Martin Suohu, KMC Councillor, assured to give the best of his ability to work for the welfare of the society, challenged individuals interested in business sector to come forward and work together.

Neibodzelie Solo, KMC Councillor, assured to give his best to work for the development and betterment of the society.

The programme was chaired by K. Neibou Sekhose, Chairman, T. Khel Council. Kezhakietuo Belho, Associate Pastor, Khedi Baptist Church, invoke God’s blessing and Peter Phewhuo, President, TGOK gave the welcome address. A special number was presented by Kethonuo Sekhose while the vote of thanks was given by Vibeituo Belho, President, TYO.
