In response to multiple complaints of missing vehicles from various locations in Kohima town, the Kohima Police launched a focused operation to identify and apprehend those involved in vehicle theft. Acting on vital leads obtained through extensive analysis of CCTV footage from different parts of the town, and with the support of local community members, police teams were able to zero in on a prime suspect.
Following a coordinated manhunt, the suspect was successfully apprehended on June 24 from the Tinpatti area in Kohima. He has been identified as Biose Jingru (25 years) of Trongar village under Tuensang district.

According to PRO, Kohima Police, the accused is currently in police custody and a regular case has been registered for further investigation.
Preliminary interrogation has revealed that the stolen vehicles were disposed of in Senapati district, Manipur. Acting on this information, police have already recovered one stolen motorcycle, and efforts are actively underway to recover more.
Stating that Kohima Police remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens, it has urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by reporting suspicious activities promptly.
