The Nagaland Tribune is an independent media house with its headquarters in Kohima, Nagaland. Founded with a commitment to provide unbiased reportage, we intend to cover stories that challenge established narratives and provide factual information to help shape public opinion. The Nagaland Tribune is a non-governmental and apolitical organisation. A major emphasis of the media house will be coverage of news and feature stories from various districts of Nagaland. The venture aims at bringing to the fore issues and challenges faced by our community.
We uphold the principles of free speech and expression and work to create a space where multiple narratives, opinions and stories can thrive together, especially ones that are often marginalized, silenced or rarely represented. In this regard, we open our platform to our audience to pitch ideas, stories and opinions – we pass the mic to you.
With nine years of experience in journalism and editing, Vibizono Yhokha is Editor at Nagaland Tribune. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Kamala Nehru College, Delhi University and a Post Graduate diploma in Print Journalism from Asian College of Journalism, Chennai.
