The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland on Monday informed that a total of 11,550 Polling Personnel (PPs) were involved in the 14th NLA General Elections. These include 9,620 male and 1,930 women Polling Persons.
The CEO Office also stated that 386 polling stations were managed by all women polling persons. There were 29 such PS in Zunheboto district, 8 PS in Tseminyu, 8 PS in Kiphire, 24 in Tuensang, 40 in Kohima, 7 in Pughoboto, 49 in Mokokchung, 10 in Noklak, 36 in Dimapur, 24 in Peren, 10 in Phek, 7 in Shamator, 44 in Wokha, 15 in Chümoukedima, 50 in Mon and 25 PS in Longleng.

Special Polling teams were also deployed district wise, it stated. 7 polling stations were managed by young employees ie; 5 in Kohima, 1 in Wokha and 1 in Zunheboto.
3 teams for People with Disability (PwD) were also deployed – 1 in Kohima, 1 in Zunheboto and 1 in Tuensang, the CEO office added.

Further, altogether 39 model polling stations had been set up, including 3 in Dimapur, 2 in Chümoukedima, 4 in Kohima, 2 in Tseminyu, 1 in Pughoboto, 5 in Phek,10 in Mokokchung, 4 in Wokha, 1in Mon, 4 in Tuensang, 1 in Shamator and 2 in Kiphire.
71% of the Polling Stations were monitored to keep a check on illegal activities such as booth capturing, illegal money distribution and bogus voting by installing live webcasting in 1391 PS and offline videography in 256.

The Gross total Model Code of Conduct(MCC) Enforcement teams involved in the ensuing general election was 1,844 officials out of which Sector officers/Sector Magistrate is 306, 942 Micro Observers, 169 Flying Squad team, 180 Static Surveillance team, 62 Assistant Expenditure Observers, 62 Video Surveillance team, 62 Video Viewing team and 61 Accountant team, the CEO office further stated.
