Four best wrestlers from Provisional Units, Under 25 and Professional categories of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) who recently won the title during
NWA 30th Naga Traditional Wrestling Championship, 1st NWA Under 15 Championship, 1st
NWA Provisional Championship were felicitated by the 13 Assam Rifles, Kohima Battalion at their Camp as part of showing their respect and honour for their heroic deed in the last championships.
According to a press note issued by the NWA Joint Secretary, Kuzhovesa Soho, note of gratitude extending to the 13 th Asam Rifles was shared by the NWA President Viviolie Kezo.
Kezo appreciated the humanity and Samaritan deeds of the 13th Assam Rifles towards the wrestlers and the officials of the wrestling fraternity and called upon the officers of the battalion to explore all possible ways and means to accommodate the wrestlers in the Defense Service under sports quota or any applicable ways that can accessed as requested.
Kezo stated that “friends of the hill people” can be truly defined and accomplished when such decorations as sought could be taken up in reality and look forward of building intimate relationship in deeper way forward.

13 Assam Rifles Commandant, Col Manoj Kujmar Singh, while sharing greetings during the short ceremony appreciated the cooperation of the NWA and welcomed the heroes of the NWA in their felicitation ceremony. He encouraged the winners and champions of the NWA last championship to carry forward their good legacy of wrestling and live like a role model in their own way.
Congratulating all the winners for their awesome feats, Singh wished them a successful venturing ahead of their endeavors. He gave away the awards along with citations to all the 12 winners.
