13 contestants from eight districts will be vying for the Miss Nagaland 2022 title at the 33rd edition of Beauty and Aesthetic pageant to be held on 9 December at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
This was announced by Melekhoto Pucho, President of Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN), at the press conference held at Symphony Cafe on Wednesday.
Pucho also informed that the BASN Miss Nagaland is an event organised annually as part of the Hornbill Festival and it is set for a grand show this year too.
The contestants of the mega event, who are the district-level winners and runners-up, will be arriving in Kohima on Thursday for grooming classes and other activities until the event day, Pucho added.
He informed that the team is not ready to disclose all the judges of the event. However, he revealed that the winner of Miss North East 2022 Irene Dkhar and the runner-up Eshanee Hatimuria will be part of the panel.
There will be 3 rounds in the contest – ethnic round, designer round and evening gown round – followed by the Q&A round. The winners will be selected from the top four contestants, he informed.
Furthermore, the winner of the mega event and the first runner-up will represent the state in the second edition of Miss North East 2023 which will be held in Sikkim.
Miss Nagaland 2022 will win a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh with gift hampers and will also get the privilege to be an ambassador of a government department, while the first and second runners-up will receive cash prizes of Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively along with gift hampers and other attractive perks.
Each subtitle winners – Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Beautiful Skin, Queen of Hearts, Miss Perfect 10 and Miss Multimedia – will be awarded with cash prizes of Rs 10,000 along with Rs 10,000 worth gift hampers.
The 33rd edition of Miss Nagaland 2022 is powered and sponsored by Nagaland Tourism, TaFMA and the Election Commission.
The partners of the BASN Miss Nagaland 2022 are Beauty Barn, Symphony, Drift Basket, Chüzo Home Designs, De Oriental Fitness, Kekhro Smile Foundation, The Khriezos, Knock and Wrap, Zenki-Organic, Alem Ozukem and Hornbill Tandoor.
Tickets for the grand event is priced at Rs 200-500 and will be available at Symphony Cafe from Thursday onwards. The tickets will also be available at the venue on day of the pageant.
