The 15 days Livelihood Training was inaugurated on Wednesday at Pochury Hoho Hall, Meluri in Phek district. The training is being organised by Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur, in collaboration with Phek Police, Ladies Club, Meluri and Tizu Club and Meluri Students Union.
Launching the programme, Phek Superintendent of Police, Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS, encouraged all the participants to explore entrepreneurship instead of drugs or other intoxicants for a peaceful and prosperous society. She emphasized on team work and registration of societies to market their products and urged the trainees to label their products with proper names and Food Safety licence numbers to sell in legal ways. Dr Kaur motivated bamboo handicraft artisans for innovations and dedication.
SBI Bank manager Meluri, Sekenye, spoke on various loan and schemes of banks to help farmers, entrepreneurs and self help groups during the financial literary session.

The programme was chaired by Thsütho Kajiri, invocation was prayed by Thujoveyi and benediction by Zurhotshü, Women Pastor, Meluri Police Fellowship. Jitsiasa, OSC Phek delivered the vote of thanks.
Over 50 participants including women organisation members and students participated in the program.
