The 15th edition of the WDFA Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2026 witnessed an action-packed third day on Friday, as four group-stage matches delivered exciting football and standout individual performances at the Public Ground, Wokha.
In the opening match of the day, Nitsu Yan FC registered a 3–1 victory over Airfield Colony FC. Airfield Colony took the lead early in the 6th minute through Tumben, but Nitsu Yan’s Yiben turned the game around with a clinical hat-trick in the 30th, 49th and 70+2 minutes — the first hat-trick of the tournament. His impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
Flamingo FC dominated the second fixture, defeating Emirates FC 3–0. Chumben opened the scoring in the 25th minute, followed by goals from Renbemo (52’) and Yisanbemo (61’). Yisanbemo was adjudged Man of the Match for his influential role in the victory.
In the third encounter, Nyiro Range FC (NRFC) secured a 2–0 win over Tsumang FC. An early own goal in the 4th minute gave NRFC the lead, which was doubled by Gabriel in the 23rd minute. Imtisashi was named Man of the Match for his composed and consistent performance.

The final match of the day saw Friends Club stage a spirited comeback to defeat Old Changsu FC 2–1. Old Changsu took the lead through Lavanthung in the 43rd minute. However, Neisede Peseyie turned the tables with two quick goals in the 53rd and 60th minutes, earning him the Man of the Match title.
