The 16th State Level Catch Them Young (U-14) Sepaktakraw Tournament 2024 from will begin from May 20 to 22 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
During a press conference held at the head office of Directorate of Youth Resource and Sports, Director Kethosituo Sekhose informed that the arrival of the players began today where the game will be held tomorrow.
“We are expecting participation in state level from 16 districts, both boys and girls. The district of Kiphire was not able to participate because of the school curriculum,” said Sekhose.

Stressing on the importance to develop sports at the grassroots level, Sekhose said that this year for the first time, the pre subroto selection from the district level has been introduced. In the earlier years, the Subroto teams were selected from school. “So in all 16 districts both under 15 years for boys and 17 years for girls the districts have been entrusted to select the best teams through an open competition. One district could not participate because of the exam,” informed Sekhose.
