193 Health Units in Nagaland participated in the Mega Mock Drill held on 10 and 11 April 2023. The drill was conducted all across the country to take stock of hospital preparedness in regard to drugs, beds, including ICU beds; medical equipment, medical oxygen, capacity building of human resource on existing guidelines as well as vaccination coverage in view of the rising cases of COVID-19 in the Country.
It may be mentioned that during the last Mock Drill conducted on 27 December 2022, 85 Health Units had participated.

The Department of Health and Family Welfare informed that the Mock Drill was conducted under the overall guidance of the Health Minister, P. Paiwang Konyak, Commissioner & Secretary, H&FW, Kikheto Sema and the Principal Director, DHFW, Dr. Vibeituonuo M Sachü. The three monitored the Mock Drill in Mon district, besides going for site inspection of the upcoming Mon Medical College.
In all the Districts, both Health Units in the Public and Private sector participated with the overall guidance of the respective Deputy Commissioners, Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents, District Surveillance Officers and the District Surveillance Units of the IDSP, DHFW.
