Kohima: 85 leaders from different sub-units and sub-committees of CYA attend Summit

CYA’s 1st Youth Leader’s Summit held at Kohima on 3 June 2023

The Catholic Youth Association (CYA) executives both Central and sub-units along with Catholic Junior Association (CJA) executive conducted its 1st Youth Leader’s Summit on 3 June 2023 at Reiphinyü Badze, Vürie, Kohima.

The summit aimed to bring the catholic leaders from all corners on one platform to share the joy and responsibilities as a team.

Northern Angami Catholic Youth Association (NACYA) President Kevisetuo Stephen invoked God’s blessings for the event and an exhortation was given by their former President Khotuo Kevin.

In this speech he shared his past experiences of being a leader and how this association had nurtured and helped him grow. Kevin also encouraged the new executives to be more active by managing their time schedule in this fast-changing and competitive world.

Nounengu Augustine enlightened the crowd with a melodious solo voice entitled “Khristanmiako vo sünu lhou tuo”.

Later on, the program was followed by a futsal game among the youths. Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) Music Secy Keduonyü Kevin and President NACYA Kevisetuo Stephen were the Referees for the Futsal game.

The men’s and women’s teams of St. Anthony’s Group Executives were the winners of the game.

Altogether 85 leaders from different sub-units and sub-committees attended the event. The organisers mentioned that this was indeed a joyous, blessed and memorable day for all the youths and thanked everyone who participated.
