22,136 candidates to appear HSLC exam in Nagaland; another 17,911 to appear HSSLC

The Nagaland Board of School Education today announced that 22,136 candidates will be appearing the HSLC exam in Nagaland this year, while another 17,911 will appear for the HSSLC exam.

The NBSE has notified that the HSSLC Examination 2024 will commence from February 12 till March 6 and the HSLC Examination 2024 from February 13 to 23. In HSSLC Examination, a total of 17,911 candidates are enrolled (Arts – 14,167, Commerce – 949 and Science – 2,521) and will be appearing from 68 examination centres. There are also 274 candidates who will be appearing under Compartmental category in 20 compartmental examination centres.

Further, 22,136 candidates will be appearing the HSLC Examination 2024 from 95 examination centres out of which 449 candidates will also be appearing the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2024 from 16 examination centres.

The Class XI Promotion Examination 2024 shall also start from February 12 to March 6 in the afternoon from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. 20166 students have enrolled and will be appearing in Class XI Promotion Examination 2024 in 185 registered higher secondary schools across the State.

According to NBSE, the Design of Question Papers and Blueprint of Question Papers for HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2024 has been uploaded in the Board’s portal (www.nbsenl.edu.in) in December 2023 to familiarize the students with the Board’s question pattern so that students can do their preparations accordingly. Head of Institutions and teachers has been reminded to visit the Board’s portal and check the designs and blueprint of the subjects and guide the students on these matters.

NBSE has also reminded the Head of Institutions that utmost care must be taken to see that no error is committed while uploading the Internal Assessment marks of the students to the Board’s portal as and when it is opened for submission of the marks. They must verify and ensure that the correct internal marks are uploaded in the Board’s portal, informed the DIPR.

The NBSE has also listed the permitted items and barred items:

PERMITTED ITEMS

  1. Admit Card in original, School Identity Card
  2. Stationery item i.e. Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ball Point/Gel Pen, Scale, Writing Board, Eraser, Analogue Watch and Transparent Water Bottles.
  3. Bus card

BARRED ITEMS

  1. Any stationery item – such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Calculator, Pen Drives, Electronics Pen/Scanner, etc.
  2. Any communication device – such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, Camera, etc.
  3. Items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Pouches, etc.
  4. Any eatable item opened or packed, except for diabetic candidates.
  5. Any other item which could be used for unfair means.

Students have been reminded to refrain from any kind of mal-practices during the examinations. Candidates are also advised to reach the examination centres in time by moving out early from home.

The Nagaland Board of School Education further also conveyed its best wishes to all the candidates appearing for the ensuing Board’s examinations 2024.
