22nd NSF MMT: Vafümei Gaziphema FC blank Infinite FC; Ura Uvie FC, New Market FC and Red Scars FC win

Kohima: On Day 2 of the round of 16, Vafümei Gaziphema FC defeated Infinite FC 4-0; Ura Uvie won 11-0 over SWAT FC; New Market FC defeated Bucaneers FC 17-0; Red Scars FC won 5-1 against Phesama Youth Organisation (PYO)

Vafümei Gaziphema FC, Ura Uvie FC, New Market FC and Red Scars FC have progressed to the quarter-finals after winning the matches played on 20 October at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyr’s Memorial Trophy at IG Stadium.

Vafümai Gaziphema FC vs Infinite FC

In the first match, Vafümei Gaziphema FC defeated Infinite FC 4-0.

The first goal for Vafümei Gaziphema FC was netted by Rowland (jersey no 10) at the 37th minute. Dairhii (jersey no 9) netted two goals at the 62nd and 88th minute and Veshalou (jersey no 19) contributed a goal at the 72nd minute.

Gaziphema FC booked itself a place in the quarter-finals through this win.

The Man of the Match was awarded to Veishalou of Vapfümei Gaziphema. The award was presented by Sikho Thou, 22nd NSF MMT, Organising Committee member.

Ura Uvie FC vs SWAT FC

Ura Uvie FC booked their slot in the quarter-finals with their 11-0 victory over SWAT FC.

Kevisanyü Peseyie (jersey no 8) scored the opening goal at the 9th minute and also scored another goal at the 66th minute.

The second goal of the match was scored by Nythong Magh (jersey no 7) at the 19th minute while Thejalhouvi Mere scored an own goal at the 35th minute.

Nune Medoze (jersey no 11) scored two goals at the 60th and 64th minute. Kehrie Tsira, Shürhosül, Toka, Nosal and Rokovolie scored a goal each at the 43rd, 50th, 70th, 79th and 85th minute.

The Man of the Match was awarded to Kevisanyü Peseyie of Ura Uvie FC. The award was handed over by Vikato S Aye, Vice President Central Youth Organization NDPP.

New Market FC vs Bucaneers FC

New Market FC defeated Bucaneers FC 17-0.

Rhitso Mero scored 11 goals at the 12th, 14th, 25th, 27th, 32nd, 70th, 72nd, 79th, 82nd, 83rd and 86th minute.

Sinlo Kent added two goals to the score sheet at the 51st and 59th minute.

Kivi Zhimomi, Yunshalo Kemp and Neisede Peseyie contributed a goal each at the 31st, 56th and 75th minute. Dhruba Mandal scored an own goal at the 49th minute adding to the score sheet of New Market FC.

New Market has advanced to the quarter-finals through this win.

The Man of the Match was awarded to Rhitso Mero of New Market FC. The award was presented by Sunup Longchar, Proprietor G Sport Nagaland.

Red Scars FC vs Phesama Youth Organisation

The fourth match of the day was played between Red Scars FC and Phesama Youth Organisation (PYO).

The first goal in favour of PYO came from the boots of Vikehiezo Mejura at the 7th minute. The equaliser goal from Red Scars FC was netted by Lalsiem at the 17th minute. Until the first half, both teams were logged in a draw of 1-1.

In the second half, Elminhao Kilong netted two goals for Red Scars FC at the 54th and 78th minute. Serto Kom added a goal at the 52nd minute. Ropfükolie netted an own goal at the 73rd minute.

Red Scars FC won the match 5-1 and progressed to the quarter-finals.

The man of the match was awarded to Chongloi of Red Scars FC. The award was handed over by Medo Yhokha, Advisor Technical Education and Election, Government of Nagaland.
