The iconic Bamboo Pavilion is open for business at the 23rd edition of the Hornbill Festival at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
Imnatiba Jamir, Advisor, Industries & Commerce, Labour & Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, inaugurated the pavilion today.
Jamir said the festival is a platform for local entrepreneurs where they get opportunities to promote and sell their products.
This year, around 110 stalls with handicraft and handwoven products such as fabrics, decorative pieces, traditional items and others have been set up at the Bamboo Pavilion for sale.
The pavilion is managed by the Directorate of Industries & Commerce.
In another part of the village, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Development Commissioner, Nagaland, Amardeep S Bhatia, IAS, inaugurated the Craftscape – The Naga Craft Portfolio 2022, organised by Tribal Weaves.
Visiting the stall, S Bhatia witnessed the process of crafting and weaving demonstrated by the craftsmen and weavers with weaving devices and hand tools.
