27713 parents attends mega Parent Teacher Meeting held across Nagaland

The mega Parent Teacher Meeting conducted under the directive of the Samagra Shiksha Nagaland was held on October 9 across the State witnessing the participation of parents. A total number of 27713 parents, 5443 SMC members, 10411 Teachers and 53359 Students from 1355 Government schools participated in the State Mega Parent Teacher Meeting.

The Mega PTM was marked by various activities such as singing, display of learning activities, Teaching Learning Materials, games for parents and students, performance display be students, sharing of feedbacks from parents and teachers.

The primary goal of the initiative was to sensitize the parents on how parental involvement in the child’s education leads to better learning outcomes. It was also aimed at sensitizing the parents on the learning progress of their children and initiatives made by the State in the Foundational Stage.

On October 9, the EBRC Shamator hosted a Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) as part of Nagaland Literacy and Numeracy Fest 2.0. This momentous event brought together parents, guardians, teachers, and the community to foster a collaborative environment, enhancing student learning outcomes, informed a press release by Kilongba Yimchunger, coordinator, EBRC Shamator

The Mega PTM saw enthusiastic participation from parents and guardians across schools under EBRC Shamator. Schools were transformed into vibrant hubs, with colorful decorations, interactive sessions, and progress reports. Teachers shared individual student progress reports, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. Demonstrations of effective literacy and numeracy strategies sparked engaging discussions. Parents asked questions, received guidance, and gained valuable insights into supporting their children’s learning journey.

GMS NAP Sector, Shamator, conducted a Mega PTM as part of the Literacy and Numeracy Fest 2.0 on October 9 under the theme ‘Learning Space at Home.’ During the meeting, parents were informed about the importance of parental involvement in their child’s education. To encourage creativity and team-building, an engaging activity was organized, where parents, along with their children, were asked to draw on the topic ‘My Dream House.’ The session aimed to foster closer collaboration between parents and children in a creative learning environment, emphasizing the role of the home as a space for academic and personal growth.

GMS New Socunoma conducted the Mega PTM for Pre-Primary sections and classes 1,2 &3. The PTM included both a combined session and one-on-one interactions with parents. The PTM was organised to strengthen the collaboration between parents and teachers, focussing on students’ academic growth, behaviour and overall development. 33 parents attended the PTM.

The Samagra Shiksha Nagaland had earlier issued an order to School Heads of all Government Schools with foundational stages in Nagaland to organise a Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) on October 9.
