The 2nd Intensive Free Boxing Camp, organized by the Boxing Association Mokokchung (BAM), is currently underway at P. Shilu Ao Park, Imkongmeren Sports Complex. The camp features a prominent professional boxing coach from the Department of Youth Resources & Sports (DYRS) and NABA Vice-President, Lakatsu Chophy, as the Head Coach overseeing the entire event.
This coaching camp is a collaborative effort between BAM, DYRS, and the Nagaland Amateur Boxing Association (NABA).

Lanuakum Imsong, President of BAM, addressed the young participants at a brief program before the camp commenced where he urged them to embrace confidence and maintain their focus on excelling in the sport. Imsong emphasized that BAM would continue to support and provide opportunities for young aspiring boxers to pursue their dreams, even at higher levels of competition, beyond Mokokchung, including state, national, and international platforms.
Lakatsu Chophy, an esteemed boxer within the state, expressed his satisfaction with the enthusiastic participation of young boxers who registered for the free boxing camp.
The Associated Pastor (Child Ministry) of Kumlong Baptist Church, Moanaro Imchen, offered blessings and guidance for the success of the camp.
Additionally, BAM has extended the registration deadline until Wednesday, 12th October 2023.
Registration opens at 3:00 pm, with coaching sessions commencing at 5:00 pm BAM encourages all eligible boxing aspirants to register for this boxing camp, as individuals displaying aptitude and talent may be shortlisted for further opportunities in their boxing careers.
