2nd Edition of Catapult Target Competition 2022 held at Kisama

To revive the dying indigenous game, the Department of Tribal Affairs organized the 2nd Edition of the Catapult Target Competition 2022 today at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.

The event was sponsored by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

A total of 18 participants representing the cultural troupes of Zeliang, Sumi, Rengma, Pochury, Kachari, Ao, Kuki and Chakhesang participated in the competition.

The winners of the competition were: Imnasunep Ao – winner; Akumnungchet Ao – first runner-up; Kamminhao Kuki – second runner-up.

The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively along with certificates.
