Advisor, Youth Resources and Sports, S. Keoshu Yimkhiung kick off the 36th Chessore Area Sports Meet on October 28 at Chessore, Shamator.

In his address, Yimkhiung urged the players to show resilience and consistency, rather than being seasonal player, emphasising that State government is committed to support merit sportspersons under the dynamic leadership of Chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio.

He also urged the player to maintain self discipline, distance away themselves from habits that may hamper their health and build strong moral integrity.

Shamator District Football Association, President, Shahoto Yimkhiung, exhorted the players and parents to identify ones children talent and support to build their future.

The inaugural match was played between the defending champion Kuthur village FC and Initial Star Club Chessore with 4-1 win in favor of Kuthur Village FC.
