377 cadets participating in NCC combined annual training camp in Wokha

Wokha: Cadets to experience rudiments of military life like drill, physical fitness, weapon training, disaster management response, drug menace, skill development

377 NCC cadets from various colleges and schools of southern part of Nagaland are participating in the ten-day long Combined Annual Training Camp at Wokha. The camp commenced on 1st August 2024 and will culminate on 10th August 2024, informed PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.

Brig Dipankar Saha, Group Commander, NCC Group, Nagaland, inaugurated the camp on 2nd August 2024. While addressing the cadets he exhorted the cadets to grab the opportunities offered by NCC, especially those training events that are conducted outside the North-Eastern Region and at the National level as such exposure helps in broadening the horizon well beyond classroom based teaching-learning process.

 

During the course of the camp which is to be held at an Assam Rifles Camp in Wokha, the cadets will experience the soldier’s life. Besides, rudiments of military life like drill, physical fitness, weapon training and other service subjects.

The cadets will get an opportunity to the contemporary subjects like Disaster Management Response, Drug Menace, Skill Development initiatives in Nagaland, Opportunities in Armed Services etc.
