The five day long 38th Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) meet 2025 concluded today at Phek town. Chozuba Area Sports Association (CASA) secured the Group Champion title with a total of 28 medals (16 Gold, 6 Silver, and 6 Bronze).
The event, hosted by PDSA In collaboration with Phek Town Youth Society (PTYS), brought together athletes from across the district for an intense display of sportsmanship.
The closing ceremony was graced by MLA and Leader of the NPF Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu as the Guest of Honour. In his speech he stated that in sports the athletes need to rededicate themselves and be committed in what ever the do.
He said, “Nagas do not excell in sports because of our casual attitude or else Nagas are second to none in many aspects”. He urged the youths to work on professionalism in any discipline one takes up .
Muthasuyi, commandant 5th NAP battalion Phek gave away the prizes to the winners at the closing ceremony.

• Best Male Athlete: Beduto Ringa (CASA) – Gold in 800m, 1500m, and 4x200m Relay Race.
• Best Female Athlete: Cekrotalü Khüsoh (CASA) – Gold in 800m, 1500m & 4x200m Mixed Relay Race, and Bronze in 4x100m Relay Race.
• New PDSA Record: Venuzo Dawhuo (CAGSA) set a new record in Men’s Discus Throw (41.66m).
