3rd Edition of ANPSA Zunheboto Literary & Fine Arts Week underway

Zunheboto: Competitions on Painting, Quartet and Spelling Bee held on Day 1

The All Nagaland Private School Association (ANPSA) Zunheboto unit’s 3rd Edition of Literary and Fine Arts Week 2023 commences on Friday at Zunheboto Town Hall. The program began with a formal session with Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie, senior advisor, ANPSA central as a guest speaker.

Kesiezie, while speaking as a guest speaker said that he was indeed much happy to see the students from different school participating in different activities. He said that Nagas should to look out for each other not on the weaker side or negative point but from the positive point, stronger point. He mentioned that when he came to Zunheboto he saw the Sumi’s as united, talented and brave tribe. If that is varnished or decorated with more wisdom, Kesiezie said that the Sumi community will be an outstanding tribe among the Nagas.

The advisor also stated that each school is unique in its own self and that ANPSA’s job is not to find out which is the worst or which is the best. Further, he encouraged the students to give their best in the competition and reminded them that failure keeps you humble, success helps you grow but only faith keeps you going.

Vincent Sukhalu, President ANPSA Zunheboto unit, welcomed all the students, special invitees and teachers from different schools under Zunheboto unit. He also said that conducting such extra curricular activities are very important for students and they felt that this kind of activities will help the students every year and the students are much eager to participate.

Earlier the program was chaired by Tokavi Swu, MD cornerstone school; Invocation pronounced by Rev. Inakhu sumi, Pastor, ZTSBC; Instrumental duet by Aron Asuni and Bliss Achumi; Special song by Veto Sumi Assoc. Pastor, SBCZ; Benediction pronounced by Vito K Achumi, Associate Pastor, SBCZ.

The formal program was followed with competitions on Painting, Quartet and Spelling Bee where Kihikali Chishi, Asst. Teacher and Vinika Zhimo, Asst. Teacher hosted the competition session.

The judges were Veto Sumi, Illiza Yeptho, music coordinator, SBAK music ministry and Inaholi Aye proprietor, Covenant Kids Academy.

The Literary & Fine Arts Week will culminate on Saturday, 5 August 2023.
