A two-day 3rd Kewhimia Open Sekrenyi Badminton Tournament, under the aegis of Kohima Village Youth Organisation, was held on 10 and 11 February 2023 at T-Khel and P-Khel indoor stadiums in Kohima Village.
On Friday, the tournament began with a prayer by Kezhaketuo Belho, Associate pastor, Khedi Baptist Church Kohima. Word of welcome was delivered by Vituonyü Khezhie, president of Kohima Village Youth Organisation (KVYO).

The final results of the tournament are as follows:
- Men Singles (open): 1st – Akhrietuo Suokhrie and 2nd – Vikuozo Pienyü
- Boys Singles: 1st – Khriemezo Linyü and 2nd – Keneizotuo Tseikha
- Under-18 Boys Singles: 1st – Menguphrezo solo and 2nd – Rüdivilie Suokhrie
- Mixed Doubles: 1st – Nguluonuo Miachieo & Teisovise Khruomo and 2nd – Neitseinuo Suokhrie & Rüvuokhrielie Pienyü
- Men Doubles (open): 1st – Beizo Solo & Kezhalezo Solo and 2nd – Teisovise Khruomo & Rüvuokhrielie Pienyü
- Veteran Doubles: 1st – Beizo Solo & Kezhalezo Solo and 2nd – Medolhou Solo & Rüvuokhrielie Pienyü
- Under 18 Girls Singles: 1st- Nguluonuo Miachieo and 2nd Neitseinuo Suokhrie
- Open Women Doubles: 1st – Nguluonuo Miachieo & Dzüziengunuo Linyü and 2nd – Thepfungunuo Kire & Neitseinuo Suokhrie
- Under 18 Girls Doubles: 1st – Thepfungunuo Kire & Neitseinuo Suokhnie and 2nd-Neilakienuo Kire & Keneiziengü Keretsü
- Under 13 Boys Doubles: 1st Thejasevor Suokhrie & Keneizotuo Tseikha and 2nd Khriekeduozo Yiese and Kevisetuo Kire
The tournament concluded at T. Khel Indoor Stadium on Saturday with Helievi-o Solo, Chairman of Kohima Village Council, gracing the programme as the guest of honour. Vote of thanks was proposed by Richard Dzüvichü, vice president KVYO.
