3rd North East Curator Orientation Program culminate

The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) successfully hosted the 3rd North East Curator Orientation Program, organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), from June 21 to June 28 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima. The program aimed to enhance groundskeeping skills among 32 participants from states including Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

According to a press release by the NCA, the program featured esteemed educators Ashish K Bhowmik, Chief Curator, BCCI, and Taposh Chatterjee, Elite Panel Curator, BCCI. On the opening day, Hyunilo Anilo Khing, Honorary Secretary of NCA, welcomed the educators and participants. The concluding day witnessed Kechangulie Rio, Honorary President of NCA, addressing the gathering.

Participants expressed their gratitude for the practical learning experience and the hospitality extended by NCA. Krishna Chettri from Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA) highlighted the hands-on approach and thanked NCA for hosting the event. Teli Ringu Camdir of Arunachal Pradesh Cricket Association (ARCA) emphasized the program’s impact on outfield maintenance and ground renovation. Shyam Chand from Manipur Cricket Association (Manipur CA) praised the valuable insights shared by BCCI educators.

The success of the program was attributed to the support and commitment of BCCI leadership, with special acknowledgment to Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary of BCCI, for his dedication to the development of cricket in the North Eastern region.
