3rd North East Games 2024: Nagaland continues to lead on Day 2

Host Nagaland continued to lead on the second day of the 3rd North East Games 2024 which commenced on March 19.

The host state, Nagaland surged ahead with a total of 19 medals (8 Gold, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze), securing an early lead in the medal tally on the second day of the 3rd North East Games 2024. Manipur trailed behind with eight gold, five silver and seven bronze. Not far behind was neighboring state Assam with five gold, eleven silver and six bronze.

The 3rd North East Games 2024 showcased a myriad of sports including football, volleyball, archery, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, pencak silat, sepak takraw, table tennis, wushu, and lawn tennis.

“As the day concluded, the medal tally reflected the remarkable efforts and skills exhibited by the participating athletes,” mentioned a press release by the Nagaland Olympics Association.
