3rd Phase Social Audit Public Hearing for FY 2024-25 conducted in Kohima

Kohima: 12 villages from Chiephobozou and Botsa RD Blocks in Kohima district audited

The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Kohima, in collaboration with the Nagaland State Social Audit Agency (NSSAA), convened the 3rd Phase FY 2024-25 Social Audit District-Level Public Hearing on November 22, 2024, at the DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima. The hearing reviewed the implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) for FY 2022-23 and the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) for 2019-20.

Altogether, 12 villages from Chiephobozou and Botsa RD Blocks in Kohima district were audited during this phase.

The hearing was chaired by the Project Director of DRDA Kohima, Kevilhoubei-ü, who warmly welcomed the officials and participants. In her introductory address, Imlirenla Sanglir, Assistant Director of NSSAA, commended the programme functionaries and the implementing agency for their efforts in adhering to project guidelines and highlighted the progress made over the years. She emphasized the importance of addressing findings from the social audit and urged stakeholders to implement corrective measures.

The event saw active participation from Block Development Officers (BDOs), DRDA officials, MGNREGS beneficiaries, village functionaries, and Village Level Organisations (VLOs). The hearing concluded with a detailed reading of village-wise audit findings and discussions on resolutions to improve project execution.
