Commissioner & Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department Y Kikheto Sema, IAS today asserted that the latest 10bedICU hubs extended at the Nagaland Health Authority, Kohima (NHAK) was one of the best gifts for the people of Nagaland both in terms of quality of equipment and the scope of its service.
During a formal programme held in the hospital premise today, 40 nurses were inducted to serve at the 10BedICU.
The Commissioner while expressing happiness gratitude to the 10BedICU e-Gov for funding the remuneration for the 40 nurses for the initial three years, he added that the nurses were lucky to be working with the most modern ICU equipment.
He wished them the best in their endeavours.
Sema also highlighted that it was the burning desire of the State Government particularly Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Health and Family Welfare Minister P. Paiwang Konyak, to provide affordable and accessible health care to all its citizens.

The 10BedICU Project is an innovative Public Private Partnership project between the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland, and 10BedICU partner NGOs (eGov Foundation and Karuna Trust) led by eGovFoundation.
The 10BedICU was officially launched by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, on 6 of January 2023 with the objective of helping critical patients in remote and difficult areas to access the service of specialist doctors in the hub hospital through Tele-ICU.
