41 women participate in ‘Natural Teas’ training at Longleng

Longleng: The training programme was followed by a practical session where the resource person demonstrated on how to prepare tea with various plants and herbs

The Department of Land Resources, Longleng organised a training on ‘Natural Teas’, at VDB hall, Longleng on 10 November.

DPO, Land Resources Longleng, K Kughalu Chishi, in his introduction speech stated that the main objective of the training was to promote the habit of drinking natural teas and knowing the health benefits from natural herbs.

Y Angngoi Buchem from the Horticulture office, Longleng, briefed the trainees through a PowerPoint presentation on the types, health benefit, method of preparation and value addition of locally available herbs and raw materials of natural teas.

The training programme was followed by a practical session where the resource person, S Phamphen Phom, Barista and Proprietor Coffee and Chill Longleng, demonstrated on how to prepare teas with various plants and herbs.

The training was attended by 41 women, including SHG members from Longleng.
