47 Aboi unit of RPI (A) joins Congress

Kohima: Former RPI(A) candidate from 47 Aboi shifts party

The 47 Aboi Assembly Constituency Unit of RPI(A) (Republican Party of India – Athawale) has resigned en masse from the RPI(A) on 31st August 2024 and formally joined the Congress Party.

The NPCC Communications Department informed that the unit’s members led by its President Nyeie Konyak and former RPI(A) candidate from 47 Aboi Assembly Constituency, Wangka Konyak joined the Congress in presence of PCC President and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) S Supongmeren Jamir, Khriedi Theunuo, Working President, NPCC, Shaboh Konyak, NPCC Vice President Incharge of Mon District and other PCC officials at Congress Bhavan, Kohima.

“The rank and file of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) wholeheartedly welcome the new entrants into the Congress Party fold and wish them the very best as they turn over a new leaf in their political journeys under the Progressive and Inclusive values of the Indian National Congress”, the NPCC stated.
