SP Tuensang Vishal Chauhan remarked that building friendships outside of the department is more important than winning or losing.
The inter-departmental sports meet will feature competitions in badminton, table tennis and carrom.
One of the organisers told Nagaland Tribune that the sports meet was a two-day event to be held in two venues: Town Hall and Badminton Stadium.

Unlike most other districts, Tuensang did not have inter-departmental sports meet before, the organiser said. Thus, the DC and the SDO put the idea forward for such an event to be organised in a DPDB meeting in 2018 and that is how the sports meet in Tuensang began.
The sports meet allows the members of different departments to come together and meet up, he added.
