The Kohima Police recovered 50 soap cases of heroin from two men at the Khuzama Inter-State Check Gate on Wednesday while conducting routine checking. The illegal contraband weighed approximately 630 grams and is estimated to be worth around Rs 88 lakh in the national market.

According to the police statement, the Kohima Police personnel at the Manipur-Nagaland border intercepted a Nagaland registered vehicle coming from Senapati, Manipur and going to Dimapur and retrieved the drugs.

The two men, identified as Manio Pfoze and Solomon Pfoze, were arrested.

A case under Narcotic-Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Khuzama Police Station for the purpose of further investigation, the Police said.
