Nagaland’s Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo today (December 16) exhorted the youth to be honest, hardworking and have determination.
Addressing the 53rd Phusachodu Youth Society (PYS) games and sports meet at Local Ground Phusachodu village under Phek district he advised the youth to be sincere, hardworking and determined which are required in sports, education, agriculture and entrepreneurship. The need to dream big, to have vision to excel and inorder to win laurels at state, National and international level was also stressed where he also exhorted the gathering to seek God first and be pursue with passion.
He emphasized that a strong determination and fear of God in addition to physical health is required to be a good sportspersons. Additionally, he highlighted that once a person achieves medal ag big sporting events, the person not only get fame and laurels but rewards and employment securing a future.
Khamo, also the president of Nagaland Wushu Association (NWA) said the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) spoke on the achievements Olympian footballer Dr. T. Ao, archer Chekrovolu Swuro, and Paralympian medalist Hokato Hotozhe Sema. Their accomplishments have not only brought honor and laurel to the state but scripted their names in history, said Khamo urging the youth to draw inspiration from them.
The Advisor also called upon the youth to renew and rededicate themselves to contribute to the growth and development of the village with honesty while he expressed concerned that many people with wrong knowledge disturbs the peaceful co-existence of the society.

Further, he urged the youth to be an agent of change through honesty that would enable prosperity and development of the village and the society while he also called upon the village make holidays between Christmas and New Year as a ‘family week’ to strategies and introspect.
VCC Phusachodu, Vehupa Rose advised the youth to have unity and invoke good health and exhibit sportsmanship.
Earlier presidential address was delivered by Cusato Ruho, a folk tune was presented by Women Society Phusachodu and oath taking was administered by Nucuto Lupo-o, Asst. Games and Sports Secretary PYS. The programme was led by Rukuoveto Murao, invocation prayer was said by Rev Vevotso Theluo, Pastor, Phusachodu Baptist Church and closing prayer was offered by Vengotsolu Chuzho, Asst. Pastor Women PBC.
The four days (December 16-19) sporting event will witness competition among the Basuh Rifuba (colony); Bakuna Rifuba; Ciejuba Rifuba and Rukhroba Rifuba in Track events, field events and games for both men and women.
