54th Tenyidie annual seminar conclude

The 54th Tenyidie annual seminar concluded on May 31 at Ura Academy Kohima, with Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu as the keynote speaker. Dr. Liezietsu noted that Tenyidie had been part of Nagaland University for 28 years, with 300 MA graduates and 7 PhD scholars. Additionally, 27 books were published based on students’ dissertations.

He emphasized that Ura Academy is not just for students, teachers, and authors, but for all Tenyimia, as language is crucial to our identity and culture. He expressed special thanks to the Angami Peoples Organization (APO) for their unwavering support in promoting and elevating the status of the Tenyidie language.

In his brief speech, Tenyimi People’s Organization (TPO) President Timikha Koza also urged the youth to honor women and elders. Angami Public Organization (APO) President Razouvotuo Chatsu highlighted their advocacy for promoting Tenyidie language in social and religious events. He applauded the Ura Academy for their continuous efforts in advancing the Tenyidie language over the years.

Research papers were presented by Kelhouravo Kire, Dr. Rünguso, Dr. Dziesetseinuo, Neizevonuo, Dr. Keduolhoulie, Sedevinuo Kelio, Dr. Metseilhouthie Mor, Dr. Vimedo Keyho, and Dr. Mimi E. Kevichüsa. Rev.Vesotsü Rhakho and Rev Tsolie Chase blessed the program with bible verse and prayer.
