As the Border Security Force commemorates its 59th Raising Day on December 1, the 37 Bn BSF, Chedema, Kohima joined the rest of the country to celebrate the proud event. The occasion was marked by engaging ex-BSF personnel and their family members residing around the locality with the gesture to honour them for their endured lifelong contribution towards safe-guarding the nation.
Vinod Kumar, Commandant 37 Bn BSF, who graced the occasion, paid tribute to all the BSF troops for their commitment towards securing the country as India’s First Line of Defense and a record of multi-role operation like maintaining internal law and order, curbing terrorism and working 24×7 under hostile conditions with the sole purpose to safeguard the nation where every jawan beams with pride and pledge nothing short of their best to protect the interest of the nation.

The day’s event was observed by exchanging cultural presentation from both Ex-BSF personnel and in-service BSF Jawans which was followed by a ‘Bada Khana’ (feast) for all the attendees.
