6 Kiphire talents qualify for the finals of StarGazer Solo Singing Contest

Kiphire: The Singing Competition is being organised by StarGazer group with support from TaFMA

Six contestants have been selected for the grand finale of the StarGazer Solo Singing Contest at the semi- final round held on Thursday in Kiphire.

Alenkimi, Hotsala, Khumtsase, Sudiba, Tsasela and Atsapi are headed their way to the grand finale scheduled for 26 November.

The StarGazer Solo Singing Competition, whose theme is ‘Discover and Elevate New talents’, is being organised by StarGazer group with support from Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA).

The organisers had conducted an online audition on 10 September and thereafter a screening round for selected participants on 12 September. Eleven participants had been selected for the semi-final round, out of which six of them booked their places for the final round last night.

StarGazer, a Kiphire based entertainment group, was founded by musician Albert Jingrü and entrepreneur Yangkhong Sangtam. The duo was later joined by like-minded youths.

The organisers told Nagaland Tribune that the group was committed to giving hope and inspiration to drug-using youths and drop-outs in the district through music and recreational events such as this Solo Singing Contest. StarGazer aspires to be the torchbearer in promoting Kiphire’s talents and put them in bigger platforms.

Popular stars from Nagaland’s entertainment industry such as Sunep Lemtur, Jpollnd Putlang, Hobi Tsang, Kezia Semy and Achumla Jingrü are expected to headline the grand finale scheduled for 26 November 2022.
