65 Naga youth participates at the 7th Northeast Youth Festival in Agartala

Agartala: Nagaland secured the first positions in the guitar instrumental category and clay modelling category. Nagaland also claimed the third position at the festival. The rock band members consisted of Vareishim Lungleng Shongzan,Imliakum Jamir,Thüjongoyi Vero,Imsülong Longkumer, Chumlanthung Ngullie, Nanmila Zimik , Limayala Aier.

Nagaland State made a significant impact at the 7th Northeast Youth Festival held in Agartala, Tripura, with a delegation of 65 enthusiastic youth representing the state, led by Chubarenla Longchari, Youth Resource Officer as the Team Manager assisted by N Bijim, PIS. The event was held from February 26-29.

According to a press release by Longchari, DYRO, the participants showcased their talents across various events, demonstrating the rich cultural diversity and artistic prowess of Nagaland.

The Nagaland contingent excelled in four key events, securing top positions in two categories. In the Guitar Instrumental competition, Zayiechütuo Suohu claimed the first place, displaying exceptional skills and musical talent that captivated the audience and judges alike. The victory in this category highlighted the state’s proficiency in music and instrumental performance.

Furthermore, Nagaland’s artistic abilities shone through in the Clay Modeling competition, where Neivito Vitsu clinched the first position with a masterpiece crafted from clay. This achievement underscored the creativity and craftsmanship of the youth from Nagaland, showcasing their talent in the visual arts.

In addition to their triumphs in the above events, Rahul Alam from Nagaland also showcased his painting skills, securing the 3rd position in the Painting competition. Their artwork reflected the unique cultural heritage and artistic expressions of Nagaland, garnering appreciation from the judges and fellow participants.

Finally, the youth from Nagaland showcased their musical talents once again in the Rock Band competition, where they secured the 3rd position. The rock band members consisted of Vareishim Lungleng Shongzan,Imliakum Jamir,Thüjongoyi Vero,Imsülong Longkumer, Chumlanthung Ngullie, Nanmila Zimik , Limayala Aier. Their energetic performance and musical prowess enthralled the audience, highlighting the vibrant music scene and talent pool in Nagaland.

Aside from the various competitive events many NSS volunteers from various colleges attended the NSS Suvichar where various topics such as VIKSIT Bharat, Personality Development, Youth Employability etc. were shared by various renowned speakers.

Overall, Nagaland State’s participation in the 7th Northeast Youth Festival was a resounding success, with the delegation making a mark in multiple events and bringing laurels to their state.
