6th Changki Students’ Union conference and sports Meet underway

The Changki Kaketsüri Longjem (CKL) kickstarted it’s 6th CKL Conference-Cum-Sports Meet, scheduled from January 6-9 2025 on the theme “Esüng Emti Metalokjetba Lokti” (“Towards a Self-Reliant Society”), on a sublime note, with Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly as the Guest of Honour.

On the evening of the Conference’s inaugural program, on January 6 evening, Temjenmenba Pongen, MLA & Advisor, Transport and Technical Education, Government of Nagaland, graciously addressed the gathering and warmly welcomed all esteemed guests, as the Chief Host of the Conference.

Based on the theme, Sharingain Longkumer enlightened and exhorted the assembly by stating that to have a self-reliant society, three C’s- Communication, Coordination, Courtesy need to be followed. He also stated that unity is indispensable for building a society that is self-reliant.

On the second day, January 7, 2025, the inaugural program of the Sports Meet saw Temjenmenba Pongen, MLA & Advisor, Transport and Technical Education, Government of Nagaland as the Guest of Honour, addressed the gathering and commenced the Sports Meet.

Keeping in mind that Sports is a catalyst for character building, personal growth as well as the stronghold to develop unity; and that Conferences add to the palette of expanding one’s knowledge and skills, playing a crucial role in the development of an individual, CKL believes that these four days will act as a promising pillar for every Changkian to excel and soar.
