The 71st All India Cooperative Week was celebrated at SIRD Hall, Phek on 20th November 2024 under the theme, “Role of Cooperatives in Building Viksit Bharat”, where DC Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam was special guest of the programme.
Addressing the gathering, DC Phek, spoke about the responsibility jobs of the concerned Cooperative Societies, then encouraged the members of Cooperative Societies to maintain strong connection and unity among its members for further development through various activities. The DC also spoke on the importance of time management in the process of organizing and planning for various activities to increase efficiency and productivity.

As part of strengthening the Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS), the DC also handed over Computer Sets to Sixteen (16) Selected Cooperative Societies during the programme.
In his welcome address, the SRCS Phek, Jacob Khing informed the gathering that Cooperative Societies provides a special platform to explore new avenues of growth by fostering entrepreneurship and promoting inclusive development and also creating sustainable livelihood.
Chakeshang Women Welfare, MPCS Ltd. Pfutsero, Nezelu Nyekha shared about success story of Cooperative Society at the programme. Member of Tsapvuri Farming Cooperative Society Ltd. Rev. P. Harûtsû delivered invocation, while ICS Pfutsero, Zewe Ritse proposed the vote of thanks, and the Programme was chaired by ISC Phek, Kuiyipu Sharu.
