The Wokha Village Students’ Union held its 74th Annual session under the theme “Shaping the Future: Trends and Insights for Tomorrow” was held at the multipurpose Building Wokha village on December 28 with Dr Meribeni Odyuo, Additional Director of Health & Family Welfare as the special guest and Dr. Nchumbeni Y Humtsoe, Sr. Fisheries Inspector, Department of Fisheries Aquatic resources Government of Nagaland as the theme speaker.
During the session, the Special Guest enlightened the audience on navigating a path to a better life reminding them as their own way maker of their own future. Stressing the importance of choosing a career aligned with one’s dreams, the guest suggested exploring fields like agriculture, IT, tourism, entrepreneurship, and skill-based occupations as government sectors is almost saturated now. Odyuo also urged the students to build up curiosity as their guiding light, encouraging them to seize opportunities in the future.

Meanwhile, the theme speaker while dwelling on the theme motivated the students to pursue excellence reminding them the importance of diligent studying and nurturing ambitious dreams while she highlighted on the importance of education.
The programme was chaired by Nzani B. Tungoe & Khyothungo T. Kikon, Invocation by Nzanbeni P. Murry and greetings was also delivered by K Vandan Murry, Chairman, Wokha Village Council. A special number was presented by Stephen Tungoe, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Nzanthung A. Kikon and the benediction pronounced by T Myanbeni Erui.
