In commemoration of 75 years of Saptiqa town in Zunheboto district, a meeting hall cum guest house was inaugurated by Joseph Hesso Kinnimi IPS, DIG, PHQ and dedicated by Rev Hutoli P Achumi, promoter, Nito Theological College on Friday.
The officials of the Planning Board informed that the platinum jubilee celebrations for Saptiqa Town is scheduled to commence on 6 and 7 January 2023 under the theme “Aiming Higher with past glory” (Wovekeu Tokulu Nepe Akuchuqu lo Mijini).
Hukavi A Zhimomi Advocate, Co-Convenor construction committee while reading out the report said the building was completed with Rs 30 lakh through the contributions received from well-wishers of Saptiqa Area and the land was donated by Lt Zhevishe A Awomi’ s family.
Joseph Hesso Kinnimi speaking during the inaugural program said having the guest house built was a big achievement and that plans for bigger things even in the coming days should be done.

Hesso stressed on the importance of education and emphasised on how education opens the door for many things and opportunities.
He added that it was not enough to be just good; they have to be very good and excel in their own fields and walk the extra mile to avoid being average. He further said even if one has wisdom, without education one cannot compete with the rest.
Speaking on a change of attitude, Hesso stressed on the need to be community-oriented people and not individualistic. Stating that one must learn to live with others to grow, he called on the community to change for the better.
He urged the citizens of Saptiqa Area to focus on plantation and called on the people to make Saptiqa greener, further assuring his full support in financing or in transportation for the same.
Earlier the programme was chaired by Sukhali Achumi, Program Committee member, and Tohokhu T Sema, program committee convenor. The opening song was presented by Saptiqa Town while greetings were given by Er Kahuli Sema, Er In Chief and Convenor Construction Committee, Sukhayi Shohe, President Saptiqa Area Public Organization, and Vitolu Chophi, President Saptiqa Area G’s Union. A special song was also present by N K Naga, Bollywood playback singer.
The vote of thanks was proposed by N Kuputo Achumi, Chairman Planning Board and benediction pronounced by Yezaka T Zhimo, Chairman CLF, Saptiqa Area.
