77th Independence Day: Tiranga Rally held at Wokha District

Wokha: Mass social work was carried in offices, schools ahead of I-Day

Wokha district conducted the Tiranga Rally under the aegis of DEF Wokha on Monday ahead of Independence Day on Tuesday.

At the program in Wokha town, Superintendent of Police Wokha, Aotula T. Imchen, IPS, highlighted on the significance of Walkathon and stated that the aim of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign is to make the citizens identify and be one with the National Flag.

The Tiranga rally was participated by DEF, 9th and 13th NAP (IR) BN, 7th NAP, Forest Department, Home Guards, and number of Students from different schools of Wokha district.

Earlier on Saturday, mass social work was carried out in preparation of Independence Day celebration. Government offices, the general public and schools actively participated in the social work where offices and its surrounding areas, public areas and schools were cleaned of trash and beautified as directed by the Deputy Commissioner Wokha and the Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland.
