Sungkomen ward secured a place in the final of the 7th Mokokchung Inter-Ward Football Tournament 2026 after defeating Artang ward 3–1 in the first semi-final played at Imkongmeren Sports Complex on April 1. Temjentemsu S attended the match as the match patron.

Sungkomen took control early and led 1–0 at half time. They extended their advantage in the second half, finishing with a 3–1 win over Artang.

Tarepnungsang (7) opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Lipoksungba (17) added the second goal in the 61st minute, followed by Lipoksunep in the 68th minute to seal the victory. Artang’s lone goal came through Chubalemba (11) in the 52nd minute through a penalty kick.

With the win, Sungkomen have booked their berth in the final.

Meanwhile, the second semi-final will be played on April 2 between Tongdentsuyong and Mongsenbai at 1:30 PM. L. Yanger Lemtur, Vice President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), will grace the occasion as the match patron. The winner of the second semi-final will face Sungkomen in the final.
