The 9th Capt. N. Kenguruse, MVC Memorial Football Tournament played at Indira Gandhi Stadium on October 29 witnessed wins by PDFA Junior FC and Satakha FC.
In the first match of the day PDFA Junior FC showcased a dominant performance as they eased past Sungkomen PL FC with a composed and controlled 2–0 victory. From the first whistle, PDFA asserted their authority, dictating possession and tempo, while Sungkomen PL FC struggled to find any meaningful rhythm in the contest.
With a staggering 60.30 percent ball possession, PDFA moved the ball confidently across all areas of the pitch, creating wave after wave of attacking opportunities. Their 12 shots on target were a clear reflection of their attacking intent, constantly testing the opposition’s defensive line and goalkeeper.
Despite being under pressure for most of the game, Sungkomen PL FC did carve out a few moments of promise. However, their finishing fell short, managing only one shot on target and two off target, failing to convert the limited chances they created. Their inability to capitalize proved costly as PDFA Juniors remained disciplined and unfazed at the back.
PDFA’s relentless pursuit was further backed by their set-piece threat, earning 14 corners that kept Sungkomen PL FC on the back foot. Even with 10 offsides, a sign of their high attacking line, the Juniors maintained composure, executed their game plan well, and ensured the scoreline reflected their clear dominance.
Sungkomen PL FC, though resilient at times, were outplayed in possession and struggled to match PDFA’s intensity and tactical organization. With zero goals and only occasional advances into the opposition’s area, they will need to regroup and sharpen their attacking efficiency going forward.

In contrast, PDFA Junior FC’s victory not only rewards their controlled performance but also sends a strong message to their tournament rivals — they are here with purpose, focus, and the firepower to go far in the competition. Notably, PDFA Junior FC are yet to concede goals this tournament.

Led by a stunning triple brace from Tokibe, Punüvi, and Aputo, Satakha FC mounted an extraordinary rally that left the crowd in awe.
