The 9th Regional Northeast Saras Fair under the theme “Empowering Women, Transforming Lives” organised by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission under Department of Rural Development, commenced at the Amphitheater, Naga Heritage Village Kisama.
Kaisa Rio, Lady Wife of Chief Minister of Nagaland who graced the 9th Regional Northeast Saras Fair as the Special Guest inaugurated the stalls.

Tiasenba Longchar, State Program Manager NSRLM stated that the SARAS FAIR is an initiative of Ministry of Rural Development. The main initiative of the fair is to promote self help groups and the fair is a marketing platform for SHGs to promote their livelihood activities.
Among the stalls, one of the significant initiative was the People with Disabilities (PwDs) showcasing their products. Apart from Nagaland, five Northeast States ( Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Manipur and Meghalaya) are participating in the 10 days fair. The SARAS fair will be open from 10am to 5pm at the Amphitheatre, Naga Heritage village, Kisama.
