An awareness programme on Mission Shakti schemes was organized by the District Administration and District Hub for Empowerment of Women DHEW, Mission Shakti, Department of Social Welfare Shamator was conducted with Anatongre village on Wednesday at community hall.

A short speech was delivered from Pongkiu, chairman of Anatongre village, who encouraged the women to actively participate and make use of the scheme

Henry, Gender specialist (Samarthya component), focused on various Mission Shakti schemes by explaining the objectives of achieving equality, economic independence and safety and justice and the benefits of women empowerment initiatives under Mission Shakti to be improved family welfare and social development

While Yanhola, Gender specialist, mentioned on the support systems available for women in distress and the importance of accessing government services.

Kiukimshi Tikhir from Sakhi One Stop Centre also shared information on the assistance and legal support provided to women facing violence.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Khetsula, data entry operator (PMMVY), Rebala, women pastor pronounced the invocation and the program was successfully ended with vote of thanks and benediction from Yonglemshe, President VLO, Anatongre.
