The Ghaspani I and II Mandal-level training programme under the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Mahabhiyan was held at Chümoukedima on Thursday.

Nagaland Minister Jacob Zhimomi, who graced the programme, stated that the BJP is the world’s largest political party with over 14 crore members. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has gained global recognition and strengthened its position as a nuclear power.

He further noted that the NDA government is working to bridge long-standing developmental gaps and is committed to transforming India into a global economic superpower.

Emphasizing the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, he highlighted that the BJP continues to strengthen its grassroots outreach to ensure inclusive and holistic growth.

Highlighting the party’s guiding principle of “Nation First,” Zhimomi said that such training programmes are not merely election-oriented but are designed to deepen engagement with the people and ensure last-mile delivery of government schemes.

He also underscored the importance of self-reliance, encouraging youth to take advantage of initiatives like Start-Up India. Observing that Nagaland remains largely a salaried economy dependent on agriculture, he called for focused efforts on human resource development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods.

The Prashikshan Mahabhiyan is a flagship organizational initiative of the BJP aimed at capacity building and ideological orientation of party karyakartas at all levels. The programme focuses on imparting knowledge about the party’s history, ideology, organizational structure, governance models, and public outreach strategies. It also equips participants with practical skills in communication, leadership, social media engagement, and effective implementation of welfare schemes.

The programme at Chümoukedima included inaugural, technical, and valedictory sessions, with active participation from party leaders and workers of both constituencies.
