The Marepkong Youth Association (MYA), organiser of the 7th Mokokchung Inter-Ward Football Tournament (MIWFT) 2026 under the aegis of the Mokokchung District Football Association, has notified a change in the venue for the upcoming tournament.

A total of 14 teams (wards) will be participating in this 7th Mokokchung Inter-Ward Football Tournament.
The tournament, earlier scheduled to be held at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung from March 24 to April 4, 2026, has been shifted owing to the announcement of the by-election under the 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency.

In this regard, the venue has been relocated to the football ground of Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School, Ungma, Mokokchung. The Association places on record its sincere appreciation to the school authorities for their support and cooperation in facilitating the conduct of the tournament at short notice.

The inaugural programme of MIWFT 2026 will be held on March 24, 2026 at 11 am at the new venue. Lanuakum, Deputy Chairperson, Mokokchung Municipal Council, will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

The tournament carries the theme “Rise As One.” All participating teams, officials, and well-wishers are requested to take note of the change in venue and extend their cooperation towards the successful towards the successful facilitation of the tournament.
