The 32 Assam Rifles Shamator Battalion organised free medical camp at Shamator under the aegis of HQ. 7 sect IGAR (N), on March 25. With host of doctors led by Col GP Singh, Commandant took active role in treating around 500 patients providing free first aid and other medical facilities. The Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) Team also assisted during the medical camp.
The medical camp also covers free medical checkup such as Dentist, Paediatrician, Orthopaedics, Gynaecologist, General medicine, and Dermatologist etc.
President, Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF), Kiumehan Yimkhiung thanked Col GP Singh. Commandant, all the Doctors and medical team for their extraordinary humanitarian services with deep gratitude toward the 32nd Assam Rifle for rendering their service for the cause of Shamator people and looking forward for their service assistance in the days to come.

The president also earnestly requested the Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Paiwang Konyak and Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr Neiphiu Rio to urgently deploy adequate numbers of Doctors, Nurses, and medical staff as the District Hospital Shamator is running only with one MBBS Doctor and a dental doctor with few nurses facing untold hardship in availing even basic medical treatment.
