The Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Government of Nagaland has reassured the general public that there is no shortage of LPG (domestic and commercial) or other Petroleum products in the State at present. Adequate stocks are being maintained by the Oil Marketing Companies, and supply lines continue to function normally, it said.

In view of certain unverified information and rumours circulating in some quarters regarding possible shortages, the Department strongly urged all citizens not to panic or resort to unnecessary hoarding of LPG cylinders or fuel. Such practices may disrupt the smooth and equitable distribution system and cause inconvenience to others, it stated.

The Department further advised the public to rely only on official communications issued by the Government and not to believe or spread unverified messages through social media or other informal channels.

The Department reiterated that sufficient stocks are available, and there is no cause for concern. It requested citizens to cooperate with the authorities and maintain calm.

For any clarification or information, the department urged the public to contact the concerned district authorities or the Department.
