The NSCN/GPRN (YA), through a press release on March 28, has warned establishments in Kohima on individuals posing and masquerading as NSCN/GPRN members trying to extort money from Government departments and business establishments.
“The NSCN/GPRN maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards impersonation, fraud, corruption and exploitation and takes a serious view of such mischiefs in its name. We have repeatedly made our stand clear on this issue that, the NSCN/GPRN conducts its financial duties through proper and verified channels only, and do not operate through backdoor arrangements,” affirmed the group.

It clarified that till date the NSCN/GPRN have not assign or entrust any person(s) for finance collection in Kohima. It urged citizens not to entertain anyone in the name of the NSCN/GPRN till official assignment has been published in the newspapers and official communication has been made.
“Till then any financial agreements or transactions made in the name of the NSCN/GPRN relating to Kohima district will be consider invalid,” it stated.
